Springs of Wisdom(7)

It is narrated that one asked Abil Hassan Al-Reza (s), ‘Is it possible for the Earth to exist with no Imam (Divine Leader) present on it?’ The Imam (s) replied, ‘No. In such a case the Earth will take in all its residents.’”

 حَدَّثَنا أَبي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه عَنْ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى وَعلى بن إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ العَبَّاسِ بْنِ معروف، عَن عَلِىِّ بْنِ مهزيار، عَن مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الهِيْثَم، عَن محمد بن الفَضْلِ، عَن أَبي الحَسَن الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ تَكُونُ الأَرْضُ وَلا إِمَامَ فِيهَا؟ فَقَالَ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ لا إِذاً لَسَاخَتْ بِأَهْلِهَا.

It is narrated from Amir al Mo'menin Hazrat Ali(a.s):

How  plenty  are  the  lessons  to  learn  from  and  how  few  are

those who would learn from them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zahra (Salaam be Upon Her) in her sermon before her martyrdom:

Therefore Allah set  faith  as  the purifier, for you, from polytheism, 
and (He set) the daily prayers to distance you from arrogance and egoism,
and the (giving of) Zakah as the purity of your soul and the growth of your sustenance,
and rendered fasting for the firm establishment of sincerity,
and the Hajj pilgrimage for the consolidation of the religion,
and rendered justice for the harmonisation of the hearts,
and (He set) the obedience of us (the AhlulBayt) as the order (organizing  factor)  for  the  religion, 
and  our  leadership  (the Imamah) as the guarantor against disunity and division...

It is narrated from the prophet(Salaam be upon him& his pure progeny):

He who drinks alcohol is similar to he who worships an idol. 

He who drinks alcohol, Allah would not accept his prayers for forty  days,  and  if  he  dies  within  those  forty  days,  he  would

have died an infidel.

It is narrated from the Prophet of Allah(Salaam be upon him&his progeny):

O Muslim people! Avoid adultery at all cost! For it has six

features; three of which are applicable to this world and three

to  the  hereafter. 

 As  for  those  of  this  world,  it  (adultery)

destroys  dignity,  brings  about  poverty,  and  shortens  the  life

span.   

 And  as  for  those  of  the  hereafter,  it  brings  about  the

wrath and anger of Allah, severity and graveness of judgement,

and eternity and perpetuity in the hell fire

It is narrated from Imam Ali(a.s):

He  who  corrects  his  covert  affairs,  Allah  would  correct  his overt. 

He who worked for his religious affairs, Allah would take care of his material life. 

He who enhances what is between him and Allah, Allah would improve what is between him and other people.

It is narrated from the prophet (SBUH&HP):

On the Day of Judgement, one will not move one step unless

he is questioned about four things:  

About his life and what he spent it on,

About his youth and what he used it for,

About what he earned, where he earned it from, and how he

spent it,

About the love of us, the AhlulBayt.
